A tip on how this math works: The cost to destroy a noncreature artifact with mana value 0 is 0 generic mana + 0 generic mana + 1 generic mana = 1 generic mana . The cost to destroy a noncreature artifact with mana value 1 is 1 generic mana + 1 generic mana + 1 generic mana = 3 generic mana . The cost to destroy a noncreature artifact with mana value 2 is 2 generic mana + 2 generic mana + 1 generic mana = 5 generic mana . And so on.
